Safety Policy
Last updated 31 August 2026
This policy explains the safety standards behind every AKSD trip and delivery, and what to do if something goes wrong. See also the AKSD Safety page for an overview of the features described here.
1. Partner verification
Every driver, Keke partner and dispatch biker completes identity verification (NIN, photo ID, live selfie) and documentation checks (licence, vehicle registration, insurance and roadworthiness where applicable) before being approved to accept trips or deliveries.
2. Emergency support (SOS)
Riders and drivers can raise an SOS during an active trip. This sends an immediate alert, with location, to AKSD's safety team for review and follow-up, it is treated separately from ordinary trip issues.
3. Live location during trips
Location is shared between the app and the platform throughout an active trip or delivery, so status and progress are visible in real time inside the app.
4. Sharing your status
Riders can share their current trip status with someone they trust directly from the trip screen, so a friend or family member knows where they are and what's happening.
5. Emergency contacts
Riders and partners can save emergency contacts on their account, so this information is available quickly if it's ever needed.
6. Delivery handoff verification
AKSD Dispatch uses a PIN-based verification step at collection and at delivery, so packages are only handed over to the intended person.
7. Two-way accountability
Riders and partners rate each other after every trip and delivery. Reviews are mutually blind, you won't see the specific written feedback left about you, to prevent retaliation while still holding both sides accountable.
8. Blocking a partner or rider
If a trip or delivery didn't go well, you can block that partner or rider so you're never matched with them again.
9. Reporting a safety concern
Safety reports are reviewed separately from ordinary ratings, by AKSD's safety team, and can lead to a warning, suspension, or permanent removal depending on severity. Report a concern through the app or AKSD Support as soon as possible.
